Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Databricks Engineer / Data Migration Strategy Lead to drive large-scale data platform modernization and migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Databricks, cloud data architectures, and enterprise data migration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration strategy and execution from legacy systems to modern data platforms
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Databricks and Spark
• Define migration frameworks, best practices, and governance standards
• Architect and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define migration roadmaps
• Ensure data quality, validation, and reconciliation during migration
• Drive cloud adoption using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for migration projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks, workflows)
  • Apache Spark (PySpark / Scala)
• Proven experience leading large-scale data migration projects
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Data warehousing and data lakes
  • ETL/ELT frameworks and tools
• Experience with cloud platforms:
  • AWS / Azure / GCP
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or Scala
• Experience with data modeling and performance tuning
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
