KAFKA Engineer

• Integrate Kafka with data platforms (e.g., Spark, Flink, Hadoop).
• Implement schema management using tools like Schema Registry (Avro/Protobuf).
• Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and application teams.
• Support CI/CD and automation for Kafka deployments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and messaging systems.
• Experience with Kafka ecosystem tools (Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams).
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Knowledge of data serialization formats (Avro, JSON, Protobuf).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with stream processing frameworks (Apache Flink, Spark Streaming).
• Familiarity with cloud-managed Kafka services (AWS MSK, Confluent Cloud).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Understanding of security practices (SSL, SASL, RBAC).
