Job Description
Role: Java Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership across multiple development squads, ensuring alignment with enterprise architectural principles, standards, and roadmaps.
Review and approve squad-level technical designs and solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, performant, and maintainable.
Act as a bridge between high-level architectural vision and squad-level implementation details.
Analyze current development processes, workflows, and inter-squad dependencies to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Design and implement strategies to streamline execution, reduce friction, and improve collaboration between squads.
Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making across squads to resolve architectural conflicts and dependencies.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement within and across squads, focusing on process optimization, code quality, and technical excellence.
Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance development efficiency, product quality, and architectural robustness.
Lead initiatives for technical uplift, automation, and best practice adoption (e.g., CI/CD, testing methodologies, observability).
Drive post-mortem analysis and retrospective sessions to extract learnings and implement corrective actions.
Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to ensure technical feasibility, alignment with business goals, and effective roadmap execution.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor and guide technical leads and engineers within squads, fostering their architectural understanding and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate self-drive and maintain an unwavering focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5+ years in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role.
Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, APIs, Cloud-Native).
Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript and its associated frameworks are required.
Extensive experience with AWS cloud platform, including serverless, containers, and data services.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Familiarity with various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
