## Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex, enterprise-grade web applications in Richmond, Virginia. This is an onsite role requiring close collaboration with software engineers, architects, UX professionals, product owners, and other stakeholders.

## Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical user interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Build responsive, accessible, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise web applications.

- Develop modular, reusable UI components, shared libraries, and front-end design patterns.

- Translate business requirements, wireframes, and technical designs into high-quality software solutions.

- Write clean, efficient, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Create and maintain unit tests using Jest and applicable front-end testing practices.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.

- Investigate, troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.

- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and back-end services.

- Prepare, package, and support software releases across development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with back-end developers, QA engineers, business analysts, UX designers, and technical architects.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Help define and maintain front-end technical standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.

- Provide technical advice and guidance to other developers.

- Contribute to technical design discussions and solution architecture.

- Support continuous improvement by evaluating current tools, frameworks, and front-end development practices.

- Work independently when required while maintaining effective communication with the broader project team.

## Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

- At least 6 years of professional experience in front-end development, UI engineering, or UI/UX-focused software development.

- At least 3 years of professional experience developing applications with React.

- Basic understanding of and exposure to Next.js.

- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.

- Strong experience with HTML5 and CSS3.

- Experience with Material UI (MUI) or similar UI component libraries.

- Ability to write efficient, secure, testable, and maintainable JavaScript or TypeScript code.

- Experience creating modular, reusable components and front-end libraries.

- Hands-on experience writing unit tests with Jest.

- Experience using Git for source-code management.

- Understanding of responsive web design, browser compatibility, and web application performance.

- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Experience developing or integrating applications built with Spring Boot.

- Experience working with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.

- Knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

- Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, build, and release management.

- Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design concepts and patterns.

- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience with Gradle.

- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful or event-driven back-end services.

- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and automated software delivery.

- Experience working on large-scale, high-availability, or mission-critical applications.

## Work Location

This position is based in Richmond, Virginia, and requires the selected candidate to work onsite five days per week.
