IT Project Manager

Mandatory Requirements 

• The resource must reside in the same time zone, Pacific Standard Time as SMUD Headquarters. 

• Minimum five (5) years of experience with IT Project Management 

• Must have PMP certification 

• Must have experience in demonstrating successful management of multiple concurrent enterprise-level projects, preferably within regulated or utility environments 

Must have experience and proven knowledge of SMUD’s Enterprise Project Management Process or ability to quickly assimilate and apply the process 

• Must have experience with strong skills in multi-stakeholder communication, schedule and cost control, risk management, and governance adherence 

• Must have experience and proficient in project management tools such as ServiceNow, SAP BPC, and Power BI is a plus 

Desirable Qualifications 

• Experience with Agile frameworks and/or Agile certification. 

Assumptions 

• Contractors must have reliable internet, work exclusively within the United States. 

• Contractors must be available for any meetings generally scheduled between the hours 8AM and 5PM Pacific Standard Time. 

• This is a hybrid position: the resource will work onsite on Tuesdays and remotely on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. If important meetings are scheduled on remote days, the resource must attend in person. 

• The resource working on this task will have strong communication, written and collaboration skills.
