Hadoop Admin

• Optimize storage and compute resources for big data workloads
• Work with data engineers and developers to support data pipelines
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor system logs and ensure system stability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3–6 years of experience in Hadoop administration or big data support
• Strong experience with Apache Hadoop ecosystem
• Knowledge of HDFS, YARN, Hive, Pig, and Spark
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration
• Strong understanding of distributed computing systems
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with Apache Spark and Kafka
• Experience with cluster monitoring tools (Ambari, Cloudera Manager)
• Knowledge of data warehousing tools like Hive or Impala
• Experience with security tools (Kerberos, Ranger, Knox)
• Understanding of CI/CD and automation tools
