Job Summary:
We are hiring a Firmware Electrical Engineer with experience in FPGA design and embedded systems. The candidate will work with engineering teams to develop, test, and support FPGA solutions for video processing, high-speed interfaces, and system control applications.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, verify, and document complex FPGA solutions for video processing and control systems.
* Work closely with Product Management, Software, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering teams to define and develop products.
* Translate system and project requirements into detailed FPGA and hardware designs.
* Perform hands-on debugging, testing, and validation of prototype and production hardware.
* Support product release activities and manufacturing documentation for production deployment.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues, manage multiple design tasks, and communicate project status effectively to leadership and customers.
Required Skills:
* Strong experience with Xilinx FPGA design and development using Vivado Design Suite and IP Integrator.
* Hands-on experience in FPGA simulation, troubleshooting, SERDES, configuration, and digital interface circuitry.
* Experience with high-speed memory interfaces including DDR3/DDR4 SDRAM and SSRAM.
* Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and third-party IP integration.
* Experience working on Linux, Windows, and engineering tools including MS Office.
* Strong communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in cross-functional environments.
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge of high-definition video standards, DSP, and image processing algorithms.
* Experience with Intel SPG FPGAs and Quartus II development tools.
* Experience with Xilinx MicroBlaze/Zynq processor software development.
* Knowledge of TCL scripting and revision control tools such as GIT.
Education:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
* Master’s Degree preferred.
* A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience with a strong focus on FPGA design is required
