Job Description
- Develop device drivers, bootloaders, and real-time control software.
- Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and power efficiency.
- Implement communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).
- Work with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or bare-metal systems.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Maintain documentation for firmware architecture and design.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues across hardware and software boundaries.
- Support firmware updates and over-the-air (OTA) deployment where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC).
- Familiarity with RTOS concepts (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.).
- Understanding of hardware schematics and datasheets.
- Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, SWD).
- Knowledge of communication interfaces and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with embedded Linux systems (Yocto, Buildroot).
- Familiarity with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa).
- Experience with secure boot, encryption, and firmware security.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python) for testing or automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for embedded development.
- Experience in industries like IoT, automotive, consumer electronics, or robotics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
