Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Medical Devices (Sustaining Engineering)
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Duration: Contract

 

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support sustaining engineering activities for legacy and existing medical device products. The candidate will be responsible for electrical design support, component obsolescence management, troubleshooting, and design improvements while ensuring compliance with medical device regulatory standards.

 

Required Skills:
• Strong experience in Analog & Digital Circuit Design
• Experience with Schematics & PCB Layout (Altium / OrCAD)
• Knowledge of Component lifecycle management and obsolescence mitigation
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Whys)
• Understanding of Verification & Validation (V&V) processes
• Knowledge of IEC 60601, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 compliance
• Familiarity with MATLAB / LabVIEW and electrical testing methodologies

 

Preferred Skills:
• Basic knowledge of Embedded Systems and microcontrollers
• Experience with Sensors, drivers, and communication protocols
• Experience with PLM tools such as Agile or Windchill
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
