Job Description

We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer / Enterprise Architecture professional with strong expertise in IBM ITX/WTX, ITXA, Gentran, and Edifecs. The ideal candidate will lead EDI platform migrations, develop healthcare transaction mappings, and support enterprise EDI architecture in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead migration of Gentran maps and workflows to IBM ITXA, including analysis, redesign, development, testing, and implementation.
• Perform ITXA installation and configuration on Windows Server environments including database connectivity and security setup.
• Manage ITXA upgrades, patching, regression testing, performance tuning, and deployment.
• Design and develop EDI transformations using IBM ITX/WTX and ITXA.
• Build and maintain EDI workflows using Edifecs tools (XEngine, SpecBuilder, Transaction Manager).
• Support healthcare ANSI X12 transactions such as 835, 834, 837, and 270/271.
• Use SQL Server for data validation, lookup logic, and reconciliation across EDI processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot ODBC connections and database integrations.
• Develop Perl scripts for automation and EDI processing tasks.
• Provide Tier-3 support for complex EDI processing and system issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and trading partners to implement EDI solutions.
• Document system configurations, migration steps, and mapping logic.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of EDI development experience.
• Strong expertise in IBM ITX/WTX, ITXA, Gentran, and Edifecs.
• Experience with Gentran to ITXA migration and ITXA installations/upgrades.
• Knowledge of ANSI X12 healthcare transactions (835, 834, 837); 270/271 is a plus.
• Strong SQL Server and database integration skills.
• Experience with ODBC connections and system integrations.
• Proficiency in Perl scripting and Java.
• Experience with secure EDI transport methods such as SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, and certificates.
• Healthcare domain experience such as claims processing, eligibility systems, or Medicaid/MMIS is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
