Job Title: ECAD/MCAD Product Analyst (IT Lead – Engineering Solutions)

Location: USA (EST Hours) – Preferred: Cincinnati / Raynham | Remote Available

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Analyst (PA) – IT Lead to drive engineering solutions across ECAD (Electronic CAD) and MCAD (Mechanical CAD) ecosystems. This role will lead a SCRUM team and focus on enabling, optimizing, and integrating engineering authoring tools and data exchange workflows across upstream and downstream systems.

The ideal candidate will bridge engineering, IT, and product teams, translating complex engineering challenges into actionable, testable requirements while ensuring alignment with architectural and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Product Analysis & Requirements Engineering

• Translate engineering problem statements into clear, test-ready requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Proactively gather and refine requirements from engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT stakeholders.
• Develop detailed artifacts including:
  • Process flows
  • Interface contracts
  • Data mappings
  • Mockups and functional specifications 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Facilitate complex discussions across teams to align on cost, usability, compliance, and architecture trade-offs.
• Act as a bridge between engineering teams, Product Owners, and software development teams.
• Educate stakeholders on CAx (ECAD, MCAD, simulation, visualization) capabilities and constraints. 

Technical Evaluation & Solution Alignment

• Evaluate requests for technical feasibility and architectural fit across CAx tools.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis between current systems and future-state solutions.
• Partner with engineering and IT teams to ensure scalable and integrated solutions. 

Agile Leadership & Delivery

• Lead a globally distributed SCRUM team as a Product Analyst.
• Define and manage backlog priorities, scope, and sprint planning.
• Communicate product roadmap, vision, and delivery progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with engineering value streams and platform strategy. 

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

• Drive resolution of production issues impacting engineering productivity.
• Perform root cause analysis, impact assessment, and mitigation planning.
• Identify and manage dependencies across teams, platforms, and programs. 

Stakeholder & Product Partnership

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Technical Product Owners (TPOs).
• Balance and prioritize competing stakeholder demands within a unified backlog.
• Maintain deep understanding of engineering workflows, tools, and priorities. 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Analysis, Business Analysis, or Engineering IT solutions.  
• Strong experience working with ECAD and MCAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SolidWorks, Creo, NX, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Proficiency in Jira for backlog management, user stories, and sprint tracking.
• Strong understanding of engineering data models, integrations, and workflows. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
• Exposure to simulation, visualization, and digital twin technologies.
• Knowledge of API integrations, data exchange standards (STEP, IPC, etc.).
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
