Position Summary
We are seeking a Data DevOps Platform Engineer to support the stability, consistency, and reliability of our data platforms across multiple environments, including Dev, QA, and Prod across On Prem (SQL Server) and Cloud (GCP) environments. This role sits within the business team and plans a critical part in ensuring that the database structures, data, and deployment process remain aligned as changes are developed and promoted through the environment lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will combine strong SQL and data platform experience with a solid understanding of DevOps principles, including version control, deployment pipelines, and environment management. This individual will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, project managers, and the SQL Devs, helping to standardize processes, reduce risk during releases, and improve the overall efficiency of feature and defect delivery.
This role is responsible for managing environment synchronization, supporting release and deployment activities, identifying and resolving DDL drift, and driving automation across the data lifecycle. The Position also contributes to improving governance, documentation, and repeatability of processes to ensure consistent and reliable outcomes across both on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
