Urgent Hiring – Desktop Support Specialist

📍 Location: Midland (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will handle hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring minimal downtime and excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems like Microsoft Windows
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
  • Support tools and applications including Microsoft Office and email clients
  • Manage user accounts via Active Directory
  • Handle ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution (SLA adherence)
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and antivirus updates
  • Assist with printer, scanner, and peripheral setup
  • Document issues, resolutions, and technical procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience in desktop support / IT support
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
  • Experience with Active Directory and user management
  • Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
