Urgent Hiring – Desktop Support Specialist
📍 Location: Midland (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Job Summary
We are looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will handle hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring minimal downtime and excellent user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems like Microsoft Windows
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Support tools and applications including Microsoft Office and email clients
- Manage user accounts via Active Directory
- Handle ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution (SLA adherence)
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and antivirus updates
- Assist with printer, scanner, and peripheral setup
- Document issues, resolutions, and technical procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in desktop support / IT support
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments
- Experience with Active Directory and user management
- Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
