Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DB2 DBA Consultant with strong experience in DB2 database administration, SQL tuning, and stored procedure development. The candidate will be responsible for managing DB2 databases, improving database performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting application teams. Experience with Scala development for rewriting or modernizing existing DB2 stored procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities:

* Manage, support, and maintain DB2 database environments and ensure high availability and performance. 

* Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries, database objects, and DB2 performance issues. 

* Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and refactor DB2 stored procedures and database code. 

* Work closely with application development teams for database design, deployments, and production support. 

* Monitor database health, resolve incidents, perform performance tuning, and implement best practices for DB2 environments. 

Required Skills:

* 10+ years of experience in DB2 Database Administration (DBA) and DB2 database development. 

* 8+ years of hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning and query optimization on DB2. 

* Strong experience in developing, debugging, and refactoring DB2 stored procedures. 

* Expertise in DB2 database architecture, indexing, backup/recovery, and database troubleshooting. 

* Strong knowledge of SQL, database performance analysis, and production support processes. 

Preferred Skills:

* 4+ years of Scala development experience. 

* Experience rewrite ng or modernizing DB2 stored procedures using Scala. 

* Knowledge of enterprise application support and database migration projects. 

* Experience working in Agile and enterprise production environments.
