Role Overview: The Database Analyst translates business needs into technical specifications and supports the end-to-end lifecycle of data warehouse structures. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity through rigorous validation, conducting data mining for decision support, and managing ETL processes. The analyst serves as a bridge between technical environments and business stakeholders to optimize data utilization and reporting.

Core Responsibilities

1. Requirements & Analysis

• Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and document business information needs.
• Technical Translation: Convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications aligned with warehouse architecture.
• Prototyping: Develop and test prototypes to validate data designs and reporting concepts.

2. Data Engineering & Warehouse Management

• Development: Design and enhance data models, metadata, and repository frameworks.
• ETL Management: Maintain workflows for data extraction, transformation, loading, and replication.
• Optimization: Ensure data processes are scalable, efficient, and fully documented.
• Environment Support: Support warehouse operations across multiple platforms and operating systems.

3. Quality Assurance & Insights

• Data Integrity: Review loads for accuracy and completeness; perform routine cleansing and refinement.
• Data Mining: Analyze complex datasets to support organizational decision-making.
• Testing: Create and execute test scripts (functional and system-level) to identify and remediate solution gaps.

4. Consultation & Process Improvement

• User Guidance: Provide consulting on data usage, resolve conflicts, and promote best practices for reporting.
• Continuous Improvement: Apply industry standards in metadata management and documentation to strengthen data capabilities.
