Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support a healthcare client onsite in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to healthcare data to drive insights, improve outcomes, and support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, quality metrics, clinical or patient data) to uncover trends and insights
Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and statistical models to support business and clinical use cases
Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, availability, and scalability
Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for business and clinical stakeholders
Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate results effectively
Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and regulatory standards (HIPAA, PHI)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Python or R and SQL
Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, time-series)
Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, EHR, patient, or quality data
Strong statistical analysis and data modeling skills
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with NLP or AI use cases in healthcare
Experience with big data tools (Spark, Databricks, BigQuery)
Prior client-facing or consulting experience
