Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a strong blend of analytics, data governance, and modern AI expertise. This role sits at the intersection of advanced analytics, data stewardship, and intelligent automation, helping drive data-driven decisions and ensure high-quality, trusted data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and statistical solutions
• Perform exploratory data analysis to derive insights on sales, inventory, and business performance
• Build and maintain forecasting models
• Translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
• Own data definitions, lineage, and quality standards across key domains
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and documentation
• Monitor data quality, identify issues, and collaborate with engineering for resolution
• Build and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered solutions for automation
• Ensure AI outputs are aligned with governed and trusted data sources

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with machine learning and statistical modeling
• Experience with data pipelines (Airflow, dbt, Spark)
• Knowledge of AI/LLM applications and automation
• Understanding of causal inference and experiment design
• Experience with knowledge graphs (RDF, Neo4j)
• Strong background in data governance, data quality, and metadata management
• Experience in retail or consumer goods domain
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

• Experience working with high-tech companies (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, LinkedIn)
• Prior experience in data stewardship roles
