Data Engineer – Neo4j, Spark & SQL
Location: Charlotte, NC / Dallas, TX (Hybrid Work Model)
Experience Required: 5+ Years (7+ Preferred)

JD:

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Pipeline Development
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark (PySpark/Scala)
Process large-scale datasets efficiently across distributed systems
Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and loading workflows
2. Graph & Relational Data Engineering
Work with Neo4j graph databases for relationship-driven data models
Develop and optimize SQL queries for structured data systems
Integrate graph and relational datasets for unified analytics
3. Data Modeling
Design and implement logical and physical data models
Support both:
Relational models (SQL-based)
Graph-based models (Neo4j)
Ensure scalability and performance of data structures
4. Data Security & Governance
Implement data security, access controls, and compliance standards
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency
Follow best practices for data governance and privacy
5. Collaboration & Delivery
Work with data scientists, analysts, and business teams
Translate requirements into technical data solutions
Participate in Agile development cycles and code reviews
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience in:
Neo4j (Graph Database)
SQL (Advanced Queries & Optimization)
Spark (ETL – PySpark/Scala)
Experience building data pipelines and ETL workflows
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of data security and governance frameworks
Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Kafka, etc.)
Experience with Python or Scala programming
Exposure to knowledge graph implementations
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
Good communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in hybrid and fast-paced environments
