Data Engineer

• Build and maintain data lakes and data warehouses
• Ingest data from structured and unstructured sources
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and product teams
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting for pipelines
• Optimize data storage, query performance, and cost efficiency
• Document data architecture and workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering or backend/data-focused roles
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
• Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, joins, window functions)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools and workflows
• Experience with Git and Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Data warehouses: Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, BigQuery
  • Orchestration tools: Apache Airflow, Prefect
  • Streaming tools: Apache Kafka, Flink
