Data Engineer

• Ingest and integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, files, streaming systems)
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance
• Optimize data processing performance and query efficiency
• Create and maintain data models for analytics and reporting
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams
• Monitor pipelines and troubleshoot data issues
• Implement batch and real-time data processing solutions
• Document data architecture and workflows

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3+ years (Mid-Level) / 5+ years (Senior) of experience in data engineering
• Strong expertise in SQL
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, Informatica, Talend)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Spark)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or Kafka
• Experience with real-time streaming data pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
• Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Experience working in Agile environments
