Data Engineer

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across pipelines and storage systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to provide clean, reliable data for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance.
• Implement data modeling and schema design for analytical and operational needs.
• Automate workflows and monitor pipeline health using tools like Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Maintain documentation of data pipelines, processes, and systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, or custom pipelines).
• Knowledge of big data technologies: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Knowledge of real-time streaming data and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Agile development experience.
