DESCRIPTION:
We have an immediate opening for an Analyst, Operations & Client Analytics to create impact among our clients and leadership by analyzing our healthcare claims and care management data. This position will work collaboratively with the Operations, Customer Success, and Analytics teams to support our Clinical, Operational, and Finance teams, making recommendations based on insights drawn from our data. This includes working with our data warehouse to pull and aggregate data, analyzing the data using a combination of SQL, Python, R, Excel, and/or PowerBI, and synthesizing and presenting findings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead ad-hoc and analytic projects in support of our Operational, Customer Success, Clinical, and Finance teams, including investigative analyses, reporting, and developing recommendations based on insights gleaned through our data
- In Operations, focusing on partnering with our operations team on analytics to help reduce unnecessary utilization, total cost of care (TCOC) and MLR
- In Customer Success and Reporting, ensuring resiliency in our ability to deliver analytic insights and reporting to our clients
- Create, monitor, and report on operating KPIs in areas including, but not limited to, member engagement, utilization outcomes, field team efficiency, workflow adherence, process metrics, home visit scheduling and execution, and call center operations
- Extract, clean, analyze, and summarize data and create ad-hoc and recurring reports using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Microsoft PowerBI, and Microsoft Excel
- Develop and test hypotheses through rigorous problem solving and iterative analytic analysis
- Develop internal and client-facing reports from insights generated from our data analyses
- Clearly synthesize and communicate the implications of analyses for internal and external stakeholders
- Create a culture of data fluency by educating stakeholders on the use of our data and reports
- Work both collaboratively across teams as well as autonomously when needed
- Demonstrate leadership potential by successfully managing projects of increasing scope and complexity
- Collaborate with our data engineering partners to create the data and technical infrastructure to support ongoing operational reporting
- Maintain high standards of quality and integrity
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree in a STEM or similarly quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a healthcare-related field with an emphasis on quantitative skills
- 5+ years of experience working with data in a Healthcare environment
- Ability to query databases and interpret data structures, tables, and views
- At least 2 years of experience conducting data analyses in SQL, Python, and/or R, or equivalent education covering similar topics
- Strong approach to conceptual problem solving and analytical approaches
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to present findings to stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s or equivalent in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or other healthcare related fields (MS, MPH, MBA, etc.)
- Experience in healthcare industry and strong knowledge of medical coding systems
- Experience using business intelligence reporting suites (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
