Cloudera Platform Engineer Senior

• Optimize system performance, storage, and compute workloads
• Implement security controls using Kerberos, Ranger, and Knox
• Support data ingestion pipelines and integration with ETL/streaming tools
• Troubleshoot platform, job failures, and performance issues
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and DevOps teams
• Automate platform operations using scripting and configuration tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in big data or platform engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cloudera platform
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala)
• Experience in Linux/Unix system administration
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or Shell scripting)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data architecture
• Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloudera certification (CCA, CCP, or equivalent)
• Experience with cloud-based Cloudera deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based data platforms
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
• Knowledge of Kafka or real-time streaming systems
• Experience with data governance and security frameworks
