Job Title: Cloudera Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloudera Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Cloudera Hadoop clusters in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cloudera platform administration, cluster monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security management.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Cloudera Hadoop clusters.
• Manage services including HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Impala, Spark, and Kafka.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity using Cloudera Manager.
• Perform cluster upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, application, and performance issues.
• Implement and maintain security controls including Kerberos, Ranger, and LDAP integration.
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Work closely with development and data engineering teams to support big data workloads.
• Automate routine administration tasks using Shell scripting or Python.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or Cloudera Hadoop Distribution (CDH).
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Manager administration.
• Good knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Spark, Impala).
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Knowledge of cluster performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience with security implementation (Kerberos, Ranger, LDAP/AD).
• Basic scripting experience in Shell or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and automation.
• Cloudera certification is a plus.
