Job Title: Cloud Lead & Data Center SME
Location: Culver City, CA (Locals Preferred)
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

  • Over 10+ years of experience in leadership roles specializing in Cloud and Data Center technologies.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud, along with on-premises data center technologies.
  • Defines and implements cloud and data center strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drives innovation in infrastructure design, deployment, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluates emerging cloud technologies and recommends adoption strategies.
  • Provides technical guidance on architecture, deployment, and operational best practices.
  • Leads complex troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Oversees day-to-day data center operations including monitoring, maintenance, and incident management.
  • Ensures robust high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Manages vendor relationships and service contracts for critical infrastructure components.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Strong understanding of data center technologies including networking, storage, virtualization, compute, and server infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud migration, integration, and hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Expertise in disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards such as ISO, SOC, and GDPR.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
  • Exposure to AI/ML workloads in cloud environments and familiarity with edge computing or hyper-converged infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects including budgeting and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies applied to infrastructure teams.
