Cloud Engineer – Summary of Services
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions to support the migration of enterprise workloads to Microsoft Azure. Key services include:
• Architecture Design & Migration Planning: Develop comprehensive cloud architecture for migrating on-premises workloads to Azure, ensuring alignment with business, security, and performance requirements.
• Landing Zone Collaboration: Work closely with the platform team to design and configure Azure Landing Zones, providing detailed specifications such as virtual networks, subnets, and required workload resources.
• Workload Enablement & Containerization: Partner with workload teams to support resource provisioning, containerization efforts, and modernization initiatives to ensure cloud-readiness.
• Infrastructure as Code Development: Create and maintain Terraform code to provision Azure infrastructure components, following best practices for automation, version control, and repeatability.
• Data Migration Support: Collaborate with database administrators to configure, migrate, and validate data from on-premises environments to Azure data platforms.
• Agile/Scrum Participation: Engage in Scrum ceremonies to provide updates, refine tasks, and ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Network & Security Coordination: Interface with firewall and network teams to address connectivity, security, and compliance requirements for migrated workloads.
• End-to-End Migration Assistance: Provide ongoing technical support throughout the migration lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution, issue resolution, and successful workload transition to Azure.
