Are you passionate about Business Intelligence and leading impactful data-driven strategies? We are looking for an experienced BI Lead to join our team and spearhead our BI strategy, architecture, and delivery!
📝 Experience: 8–12 years in BI, Data Warehousing, and Analytics
📅 Skills: Looker (LookML, modeling, governance)
Key Responsibilities:
1. BI Architecture, Solutioning & Delivery:
Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable BI solutions, primarily using Looker (mandatory) and other BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik.
Architect and maintain Looker semantic models including LookML, Explores, PDTs, and governed datasets.
Establish BI best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks to ensure consistency across teams.
2. Data Modeling & Engineering Integration:
Collaborate with Data Engineering to build robust data models using BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse.
Oversee the optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt, Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
Ensure data quality and consistency across analytics layers.
3. Governance, Security & DevOps:
Implement Looker governance, including Row-Level Security (RLS), access control, and content lifecycle management.
Manage Git-based CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and testing workflows for Looker projects.
Establish standards for query optimization and cost-efficient BI operations.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Analytics Enablement:
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
Drive adoption of self-service analytics across teams through documentation, training, and enablement.
Define KPIs, standardized metrics, and consistent analytical definitions in partnership with business and technical teams.
5. Leadership & Team Development:
Lead and mentor BI developers/analysts, guiding them on best practices and technical design.
Build and scale the BI team by fostering collaboration and innovation.
Provide strategic advice on BI tools, architecture decisions, and roadmap planning.
Required Skills & Experience:
8–12 years of experience in BI and analytics, with 2–4 years in Looker/LookML development.
Strong SQL expertise, with the ability to optimize complex queries.
Hands-on experience in building end-to-end BI solutions—modeling, dashboards, embedded analytics.
Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
Experience with ETL/ELT technologies (dbt, Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
Proven leadership experience—mentoring teams, conducting code reviews, and overseeing projects.
