Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and healthcare domain expertise to bridge the gap between clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors. The ideal candidate will analyze healthcare workflows, gather and document requirements, and support the implementation and optimization of PACS and related healthcare IT systems to improve clinical efficiency, data quality, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

·        Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for PACS, RIS, EMR/EHR, and imaging workflows

·        Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, technicians, and administrative staff to understand clinical and operational needs

·        Translate clinical workflows into clear business requirements, use cases, and process maps

·        Support PACS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and migrations

·        Work closely with technical teams on system integrations using DICOM, HL7, and FHIR standards

·        Create and maintain documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, workflow diagrams, and user stories

·        Assist with UAT planning, test case development, and validation of healthcare systems

·        Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within imaging and healthcare operations

·        Support change management, training materials, and end-user adoption

·        Ensure solutions comply with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA)

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field

·        3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare IT

·        Hands-on experience with PACS systems and imaging workflows

·        Strong understanding of radiology workflows (order entry, image acquisition, interpretation, reporting)

·        Experience with healthcare integration standards: DICOM, HL7, FHIR

·        Proficiency in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication

·        Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience with RIS, VNA, or EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)

·        Knowledge of imaging modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound)

·        CBAP, CCBA, or healthcare IT certifications

·        Experience supporting cloud-based or enterprise imaging solutions
