Business Analyst With Appworks

Job Summary

We are seeking a strong Business Analyst with hands-on experience in OpenText AppWorks and solid background in the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have experience working on policy administration, underwriting, or claims workflows and be comfortable translating business needs into scalable workflow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRD, FRD, User Stories).
• Work with stakeholders across underwriting, policy servicing, and claims teams.
• Design and document workflow/process automation solutions using OpenText AppWorks.
• Conduct requirement workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Translate insurance business processes into functional specifications.
• Support UAT, SIT, and production releases.
• Collaborate with development teams on integrations (APIs, ECM systems).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText AppWorks.
• Strong Insurance domain knowledge (P&C preferred).
• Experience with:
  • Policy lifecycle
  • Underwriting workflows
  • Claims processing
• Expertise in BPM / Case Management solutions.
• Experience writing BRD, FRD, RTM, and User Stories.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with document management or ECM platforms.
• Knowledge of API integrations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• SQL/data analysis exposure.
