Job Description
Immediate Requirement for Blockchain Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Rate: $65/hr on C2C
Visa Type: H1-B, USC, GC, H4-EAD, L2S, TN
Role Overview
Design, develop, and implement distributed ledger solutions to modernize post-trade financial infrastructure, including clearing, settlement, and asset servicing systems. Work within high-throughput, regulated environments to enhance transparency, resilience, and efficiency using blockchain technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain blockchain-based applications for financial market infrastructure.
• Design smart contracts and distributed ledger solutions using platforms like Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, or Ethereum.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operations teams to modernize clearing and settlement systems.
• Integrate blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems and legacy infrastructure.
• Ensure security, scalability, and performance of distributed systems.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Contribute to cloud-native deployments using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement data privacy and permissioning models in enterprise blockchain networks.
• Support testing, debugging, and production deployment of DLT applications.
Required Skills
• Strong programming experience in Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain frameworks:
• Hyperledger Fabric
• R3 Corda
• Ethereum / Solidity
• Understanding of distributed systems and consensus mechanisms.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals (hashing, digital signatures).
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.
• Understanding of clearing, settlement, and trade lifecycle.
• Exposure to DTCC initiatives like Project Ion.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, messaging systems).
