BI Designer / Data Architect With Databricks & Iceburg

• Build and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large-scale datasets
• Develop semantic layers and BI models for reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions
• Ensure data governance, lineage, quality, and security standards
• Optimize performance and cost across data platforms
• Lead architecture decisions and mentor engineering/BI teams
• Integrate BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) with modern data platforms
• Support real-time and batch processing use cases

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in data architecture / BI engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
• Experience with Apache Iceberg or similar table formats
• Expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques
• Strong programming skills (Python, Scala, or Java)
• Experience designing data lakes / lakehouse architectures
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with distributed data processing systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data mesh or modern data architecture patterns
• Familiarity with dbt for transformations and semantic modeling
• Knowledge of streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
• Understanding of governance tools (Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation)
• Exposure to DevOps/DataOps practices
• Strong experience in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
