Azure Data Engineer

• Optimize storage, compute, and query performance for cost efficiency
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL)
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python, PySpark, or Scala)
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
• Experience with big data frameworks (Apache Spark)
• Familiarity with cloud architecture and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Databricks and real-time data processing
• Knowledge of streaming tools (Azure Event Hubs, Kafka)
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI)
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD in Azure (Azure DevOps)
• Azure certifications (Azure Data Engineer Associate, etc.)
