Azure Data Engineer

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and performance issues
• Optimize storage and compute costs within Azure environments
• Implement best practices for data governance and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related role
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services:
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Azure Blob Storage / Data Lake
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Proficiency in Python or Scala
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of streaming technologies (Event Hub, Kafka)
• Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate)
• Experience with data governance and security frameworks
