Job Title: Azure Data Engineer 

Location: Jersey City, NJ, (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week)
 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. This role will support the Enterprise Information Protection (EIP) initiative, focusing on centralizing data and governance for DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) within a Cybersecurity Data Lakehouse (CyberDW) environment.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Information Security, Data Owners, and Engineering teams to develop robust data ingestion pipelines and ensure secure, compliant data processing aligned with enterprise standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure services

Build and optimize data lakehouse architectures (CyberDW)

Develop ingestion frameworks for multiple structured/unstructured data sources

Ensure data security, governance, and compliance aligned with cybersecurity standards

Collaborate with EIP, Security Engineering, and Data Owners as a technical liaison

Participate in Agile SDLC processes, sprint planning, and status reporting

Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows

Maintain documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders

 

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Data Services:

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure Databricks

Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines

Experience with data lake / lakehouse architectures

Strong SQL and data modeling skills

Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance

Experience working in Agile environments

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Azure Certifications (e.g., DP-203: Azure Data Engineer Associate)

Experience with Cybersecurity data (DLP, DSPM, or security analytics)

Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams

Proactive communication and ownership mindset
