AWS / Kubernetes Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile AWS / Kubernetes Engineer (Generalist) to support cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and platform engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes ecosystems, and modern DevOps practices to build, deploy, and maintain scalable and highly available systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
• Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot production issues across cloud and container environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Manage networking, security, and IAM policies within AWS.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve system reliability.
• Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering / DevOps / platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (cluster setup, scaling, troubleshooting).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, security groups).

Preferred Skills:

• AWS certification (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes operators.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
