Senior Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern data environment in AWS. This role is focused on designing reliable, high-performing data systems that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.
This is a hands-on role with ownership across data pipelines, modeling, and data quality, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in AWS supporting batch and real-time processing
Develop and optimize data models to support business intelligence and analytics use cases
Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, enterprise systems, and external data feeds
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across the full data lifecycle
Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively identify and resolve data issues
Partner with business and technical teams to translate requirements into data solutions
Evaluate and improve existing data architecture, including migration and decommissioning of legacy systems
Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
Optimize performance through query tuning, indexing, and efficient data design
Maintain clear documentation and version control across data systems and processes
What You Bring
4+ years of experience building and managing data pipelines and data models in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL
Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
Experience designing scalable data architectures for analytics and reporting
Familiarity with both batch and real-time data processing
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform is a plus
Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP is a plus
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
