Role: Automation Engineer

Location: Irving, TX (HYBRID)

Automation QA with strong Playwright, SQL, Azure Databricks, and ETL testing experience for end‑to‑end web, API, and data workflow automation.

Responsibilities: -

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium.
• Create, execute, and optimize automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and data workflows.
• Validate data pipelines and transformations, including testing within Azure Databricks environments.
• Build and maintain comprehensive test reports, dashboards, and metrics to track quality and coverage.
• Perform database testing, including writing and executing complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Participate in code reviews, automation framework enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication across teams.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to overall quality engineering standards

Skills

Mandatory skills

• 5+ years of overall QA experience, with 3+ years in automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of test reporting tools (e.g., Allure, Extent Reports, custom dashboards).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database testing.
• Experience testing data engineering workflows, including Azure Databricks notebooks, pipelines, and jobs.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
