Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and execution of automation frameworks for both web and mobile applications in the travel and hospitality sector.
Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
Implementation knowledge of Selenium automation framework.
Oversee the creation and execution of automated test scripts for functional, regression test cases
Work closely with client test leads, cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure quality and requirements are met.
Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and tools to enhance efficiency and test coverage.
Identify and resolve roadblocks in test automation processes and ensure timely delivery of test results.
Lead defect management, triage, and reporting processes, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with designing and implementing automation frameworks for both web and mobile applications.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript to write and maintain test scripts.
Test Automation Tools: Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, and exposure to Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
Test Management: Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
API Testing: Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
Version Control: Proficiency in version control systems like Git or SVN.

Soft Skills:
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment, fostering knowledge sharing and cross-functional cooperation.
Team Handling: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
Accountability: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks, drive results, and ensure timely project delivery.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex problems.

Desired Experience:
12 + years of experience in automation testing, with at least 4 + years in a lead or senior role managing offshore teams.
Experience working in the travel and hospitality domain or a similar customer-facing industry is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering automation projects on time.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and familiarity with Agile tools.
Creativity to solve complex problems.
