Position: AR/VR Automation Test Engineer

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AR/VR Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks to validate Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications, devices, and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for AR/VR applications and systems.
• Create and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Validate AR/VR hardware and software performance, including sensors, tracking systems, rendering pipelines, and user interactions.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Perform API testing and backend validation for AR/VR services.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Optimize test coverage and improve CI/CD integration.
• Analyze performance metrics such as latency, frame rate, motion tracking accuracy, and rendering quality.
• Support manual testing when automation is not feasible.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/Automation.
• Strong experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience testing AR/VR platforms or 3D applications (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
• Knowledge of hardware testing concepts (sensors, cameras, IMU, motion tracking).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Familiarity with REST API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AR/VR devices (e.g., Meta Quest 3, Apple Vision Pro).
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools.
• Experience with test automation in 3D rendering environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of spatial computing and computer vision concepts.
