Arcgis Developer

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise GIS applications and services.
Configure and manage ArcGIS Enterprise environments including Portal, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, and Data Store.
Build and deploy interactive web mapping applications using ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript integrated with modern web frameworks.
Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Create advanced Python scripts for geoprocessing automation and spatial workflows.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries including spatial joins and performance tuning.
Integrate GIS services with enterprise systems and APIs.
Support deployment pipelines and environment management across Development, Test, and Production.
Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure high availability of GIS services.
Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on GIS.
Deep experience with ArcGIS Enterprise:
Portal for ArcGIS
ArcGIS Server
GeoEvent Server
ArcGIS Data Store
Application development using:
ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript
Java / Spring Boot
Advanced scripting with Python for geoprocessing automation.
Strong experience writing complex SQL queries including spatial operations.
Experience building scalable, secure, enterprise-grade applications.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with ArcGIS API for Python for GIS DevOps tasks such as:
Automated user and content management
Content audits
Environment cloning across Dev/Test/Production
Strong expertise in ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (4.x):
Custom widget development
3D visualization workflows
Experience integrating GIS applications into modern web frameworks such as:
React
Angular
Vue.js
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud or hybrid deployment environments.
