Job Description


Job Title: Applications Programmer(Java)
Location: Baltimore MD 
Position Type: Contract
Candidate must be local to MD ,VA, DC
Rate :  $60/hr on c2c
Visa : H1B, H4-EAD,GC,USC,L2-EAD

Experience: 10+ Years Java EE
State Government Experience: Mandatory Required

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise Java/J2EE applications
Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Develop REST APIs and integrate front-end applications
Perform unit, integration, and acceptance testing
Participate in code reviews and SDLC activities
Ensure compliance with security, PMO, and change management standards
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues

Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of Java EE enterprise application development
6+ years with Spring, Struts, JPA, Hibernate, Angular, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
8+ years writing complex SQL queries (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
8+ years integrating Java applications with SQL/NoSQL databases
8+ years developing REST APIs (Spring REST or equivalent)
Experience with n-tier architecture and microservices
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Prior State Government project experience (mandatory)

Preferred Skills
10+ years in Java/J2EE enterprise environments
Experience with Angular or React JS
Experience with Maven, ANT, Jenkins
Knowledge of SOA, API security, and microservices
Experience with healthcare, Medicaid, ACA, or eligibility systems
Experience with EDI 834 and Medicaid 8001 file processing
Familiarity with Agile and PMO processes
