API Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Create API specifications using standards like:
  • OpenAPI (Swagger)
  • RAML
• Define API contracts, endpoints, request/response models
• Ensure APIs follow best practices for:
  • Scalability
  • Security
  • Performance
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams
• Review and govern API design standards across projects
• Document APIs for internal and external consumers
• Define versioning, lifecycle, and deprecation strategies
