Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Payroll Consultant to support, configure, and optimize Workday HCM and Payroll solutions in a hybrid environment based in Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical expertise in Workday Payroll configuration, integrations, and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support modules within Workday HCM and Workday Payroll.
• Manage end-to-end payroll configuration including earnings, deductions, tax setup, and reporting.
• Support payroll processing cycles, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Configure business processes, security roles, and domain policies.
• Develop and maintain reports using Workday Report Writer and calculated fields.
• Support integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, and Studio.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide production support.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders for enhancements and compliance updates.
• Participate in testing cycles including unit, integration, and UAT.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT/HRIS experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Workday HCM & Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of payroll configuration and tax setup.
• Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors).
• Experience in payroll reporting and compliance.
• Knowledge of security configuration and business process frameworks.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations (multi-state preferred).
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
