Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory Match)

5+ years UX design experience for web-based applications
state client exp. 
4+ years designing compliant webpages per WCAG 2.1 Level AA (or higher) accessibility standards
5+ years creating wireframes, prototypes, mockups
3+ years information architecture & design
2+ years UX design in Agile development environment

Key Tasks & Deliverables

Lead user research: 8–10 interviews + 2–3 usability tests per 2-week sprint
Design 20+ key screens/workflows adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA
Produce low/high-fidelity wireframes, mockups & interactive prototypes (Figma preferred)
Deliverables per sprint: User Research Reports, Wireframes/Mockups, Clickable Prototypes, Design Documentation (style guides, component libraries, handoff specs), Stakeholder Decks & Demos, Weekly Status Reports
Audit/update existing screens for brand consistency & inclusive design
Bi-weekly design reviews to 10+ stakeholders + knowledge transfer

Desired / Strong Edge

Bachelor’s in UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design or related
Heavy Figma experience
User research, persona development, usability testing & analysis
Responsive/adaptive design + visual/UI aesthetics
Mobile app UI/UX (ticketing/payment systems preferred)
Transit/fare collection domain knowledge (ticket vending machines, validation devices, fare structures)
Basic front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS/JS, Blazor)
Data-driven design using transit/user analytics
UX certifications (accessibility, Agile)
