UI Automation Lead

Position Title: UI Automation Lead
Location: Denver, CO / Stamford, CT

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced UI Automation Lead with 12+ years of Quality Engineering experience (Manual + Automation) who can provide strategic leadership to the QE practice. The ideal candidate will drive automation vision, establish enterprise standards, and lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure high-quality releases across complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the overall QA and automation strategy, roadmap, and governance model (CoE approach).
• Own end-to-end test strategy and architecture, ensuring risk-based coverage and complete traceability across smoke, regression, integration, and E2E testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD).
• Establish and enforce automation standards including Page Object Model, BDD practices, and coding guidelines for UI and API automation.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines with strong quality gates, flake detection, and failure triage processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to refine acceptance criteria and improve testability.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test data/environment strategies.
• Define and monitor quality KPIs such as automation coverage, defect leakage, flake rate, and MTTR to drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate onshore/offshore teams and ensure alignment across multiple scrum teams.
• Support post-deployment validation, incident triage, and root-cause analysis to strengthen preventive testing practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering (Manual + Automation).
• Strong expertise in Java, Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber (BDD framework).
• Proven experience in QA leadership, test architecture, and cross-team influence.
• Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as JIRA or Octane.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Telecom domain experience.
• Experience managing distributed (onshore/offshore) QA teams.
