Position Title: Onyx Solution Architect Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary: Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solution discussions with clients and within the Onyx-abacus collaboration. Understand architecture & vision of Onyx products, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and guide implementation of enterprise-grade systems that support business goals and delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Define and drive system architecture across platforms and product areas. • Translate business and technical requirements into robust solution designs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology direction with objectives. • Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance. • Mentor and support engineering teams on design decisions and technical challenges. • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements. • Create and communicate architectural artifacts to technical and non-technical audiences. Technical Skills & Tools: • Architecture of distributed, cloud-native systems and integration patterns. • API design and interoperability standards. • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (Agile, CI/CD). • Familiar with cloud concepts, containerization, and deployment automation. • Knowledge of data architecture fundamentals and secure design principles. • Comfortable with architecture modeling and diagramming (e.g., UML, data flow).
