Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator to manage, optimize, and support enterprise data warehouse environments in a hybrid setup based in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, security, and cloud integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the Snowflake data warehouse environment.
• Configure and manage roles, users, warehouses, databases, and resource monitors.
• Monitor performance, optimize queries, and manage cost efficiency.
• Implement security best practices including RBAC, data masking, and encryption.
• Manage Snowflake integrations with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Support data loading processes using Snowpipe and bulk data ingestion methods.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and BI teams for troubleshooting and optimization.
• Implement backup, failover, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain documentation and enforce governance policies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of IT experience with strong Data Warehouse background.
• 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration experience.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and account-level configuration.
• Experience with:
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Virtual Warehouses & Query Performance Tuning
  • Data Sharing & Cloning
  • Time Travel & Fail-safe
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Matillion, Talend, dbt – preferred).
• Experience with monitoring tools and cost optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
