About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing and maintaining highly reliable systems, has deep infrastructure knowledge, and is an automation advocate who thrives on reducing operational complexity through software.

This role requires prior experience at Apple and a strong background in reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain reliable and scalable systems.
• Implement, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support rapid deployment.
• Automate operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.
• Monitor system health using tools like CloudWatch and Grafana, and proactively address potential issues.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless system performance.
• Provide deep insights into infrastructure components, Linux systems, and networking protocols.

• Promote best practices in system reliability, performance, and security.

   

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Previous Employer: Must be Ex-Apple.
• Programming: Advanced experience with Python and Java.
• Infrastructure & Systems:
  • Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Strong understanding of system components and infrastructure design.
• CI/CD & Automation:
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems.
  • Advocate for automation to reduce operational load.
• Cloud & Monitoring:
  • Basic AWS knowledge.
  • Experience with CloudWatch and Grafana.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and integrity.
