Must-Haves
Deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform
Strong background in solution architecture, integrations, and enterprise governance
Experience with mission-critical production platforms and complex issue resolution
Ability to influence technical decisions—without being the formal people lead
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to leadership
Experience with Now Assist is required

Nice to Have
ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Mapping
Cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD
Experience leading or supporting enterprise platform upgrades

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Technical Contractor to support the architecture, health, and evolution of Vanguard’s ServiceNow platform.

This is NOT a Lead role—but you must understand architecture. You will work alongside leads, vendors, and internal teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who knows the platform inside and out.

What You’ll Do
Understand and influence the technical architecture and long-term direction of the ServiceNow platform
Support new implementations and guide external partners to follow best practices
Provide hands-on technical leadership in solution design, integrations, and automation
Enforce platform standards via code reviews, Guardrails, and governance controls
Monitor platform health, security, and performance (including JIT access and compliance)
Participate in release upgrades, environment strategy, and MID Server integrations
Support production operations including on-call rotation and major incident resolution
Maintain documentation, technical standards, and audit artifacts
Collaborate with ServiceNow vendor support (HI cases) and managed service providers
