Role: Senior Salesforce Developer

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite – Monday to Friday, 5 days/week)
Duration: Long Term

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer (Admins will NOT be considered) with strong hands-on development experience and active Salesforce Developer certification. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Apex, Lightning (Aura/LWC), OOP principles, API integrations, and enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines, with a strong preference for MuleSoft experience.

Key Requirements (Must Have)

• Active Salesforce Developer Certification (Advanced certifications preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning (Aura & LWC)
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Strong backend development experience using Java or Python
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools)
• Hands-on experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• Experience integrating microservices with Salesforce
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce applications
• Enhance Experience Cloud to support external customer use cases
• Integrate Salesforce with microservices using APIs, Platform Events, and MuleSoft
• Update and improve DevOps and CI/CD processes
• Maintain and enhance test automation suites using Cucumber/Selenium
• Conduct regular code reviews and enforce Salesforce best practices
• Support production issues and perform impact analysis
• Participate in planning, estimation, and task assignments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, QA, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of overall IT experience
• 10+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and production support
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with Salesforce APIs and backend integrations
• Working knowledge of test automation frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium)
• Experience designing and deploying microservices (Java, Spring Boot, or MuleSoft)
• Experience with event streaming/message queues
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
• Required Salesforce Developer Certifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of MuleSoft development experience
• Experience with Python scripting for platform automation and enhancements
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools to improve delivery efficiency and velocity
